As an IBM™ Business Partner, the company focuses on IBM™ WebSphere products including WebSphere Application Server (for application deployment), WebSphere Studio Application Developer (for development), and WebSphere MQ (for messaging) as well as IBM™ DB2 (for database persistence).
The company is currently building a development site to showcase these products as well as the associated J2EE™ technologies (APIs) including servlets, JavaServer Pages (JSPs), Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), database connectivity (JDBC), and messaging (JMS).
J. Damon and Co. was founded in 1991 as a provider of high-quality, leading-edge IBM™ AS/400 (iSeries) programming, software, and services to our customers. In 1999, the company's emphasis shifted to Javaä 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EEä) design / development and consulting services.
The company is an IBM™ Business Partner. Corporate clients include insurance, manufacturing, mortgage, telecommunications, and warehousing and distribution companies in Indiana as well as a number of midwestern states.
Jay Damon has over 17 years of experience in information technologies including 12 years as an independent consultant. He has extensive experience in Javaä, J2EEä, and web development environments as well as the AS/400 (iSeries) platform. He has served as the designer, project leader, and/or lead developer on a number of enterprise development projects.
Mr. Damon is certified as a Sun and IBM Java™ and DB2 web/enterprise application developer and currently holds eight (8) certifications in these technologies including Sun Certified Web Component Developer for Javaä 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EEä) and IBM Certified Enterprise Developer – IBM WebSphere Application Server. He recently completed IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer V5 certification and is currently working on certification as a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Javaä 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE™), having completed Part I.
